Fallout on Linux with Dosbox/Desura

By -
Fallout is now on Desura for Linux using DosBox! It's the same thing that gog.com does it bundles the game with DosBox (exactly the same on Windows).

So you can finally get one of the best RPG's ever made easily.

Trailer (ignore the music - couldn't find many other fallout 1 trailers)

I am surprised that GOG would use DOSBox for the Windows version of Fallout. The version I put up on Desura of Fallout for Windows is a native Windows version and does not use DOSBox.

I think mainly because you can ensure compatibility with more versions of windows with dosbox rather than 1 windows binary across multiple versions.

Yes but Interplay has compiled a fresh new version of the program for Windows so it works on modern Windows systems. I just thought it was strange was all.
