Tiberium Alliances open beta

By -
This news is a couple of days old, but I noticed that C&C: Tiberium Alliances is in open beta. Only the GDI faction is playable at the moment, and the game requires creating an EA account, but is otherwise free to play.

Tiberium Alliances is a browser based MMO/real time strategy hybrid, set in the Command & Conquer universe. So far, reviews have been mixed, criticisms includes a convoluted UI and an obsession with numbers.

In contrast to the more closed approach taken with Google Native Client, TA uses HTML5 and has experimental support for WebGL. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Added a couple of sentences, not sure I can write much more about the game itself, I only spent a couple of minutes with it so far.

I don't know. I like the CnC universe (at least up till Tiberium Wars) but this seems like just another browser game which usually end up boring due to too time consuming micromanagement. I'll give it some more attention to see where it's at...
