Two Guys SpaceVenture

By -
Another Kickstarter I've been bugged (just kidding I love being sent stuff keep them coming folks!) to bring attention to is Two Guys SpaceVenture by the creators of Space Quest.

Seems like it's a good time to be an adventure game fan, with this one actually promising Linux from the get-go so it's win win. They need $500,000 and are currently on over $230,000 so they still have a way to go.

Jaggers emailed me to say this;
QuoteThe creators of the old-school Sierra On-Line Space Quest series, Scott Murphy and Mark Crowe ("The Two Guys from Andromeda") have a campaign going for a spiritual successor to the beloved Space Quest series!

With the Space Quest IP tied up in a giant Activision-Gordian-Knot, the guys are going to invent a whole new awesome and hilarious universe with new characters and puzzles, all the while respecting the style of art and comedy they were rememberd for. It's set to lambaste current Science Fiction franchises, the way the old ones poked fun at Star Wars and Star Trek. The team have mentioned that no franchise is safe, including Doctor Who, Stargate, Avatar, and others!! It looks like it's going to be a lot of fun, and the Linux port is right there in their committment, from the beginning, no overfunding goal required!!

Currently the project is called "SpaceVenture", as the final game title has not been announced yet.
