Much, much better, the cockpit is fantastic can't wait to see more graphical improvements, they have a new model of the big capital ship on the way too...sounds like fun!

Currently on Desura for £3.25, considering how big this game is going to be once it has been completed it's a steal! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

How do you guys feel about having some wingmen to bark orders to in the game? I'd like to add in speech recognition as well, but I only know of the Microsoft SAPI for windows. Does anyone know of a good one that work on Linux and is fast enough to run in a game?

What about dialogue trees?

I've played around with Simon a little. There's also Sphinx and Jasper, but none of them are complete systems on their own. Voice stuff on Linux is pretty immature (have a look into it though - it'd be pretty awesome).

Yea, that was kind of my assessment as well. Ah, I might have to keep the speech recognition Windows only for now until I can better look at Sphinx. I don't think anyone will care about it, I often think I'm the only one that likes seeing it in games, hah.

Oops, Julius, not Jasper.

This page looks like it might have some possible avenues. I've only looked at the stuff listed as being open source. I haven't looked at anything in the *nix section.
