Tomes of Mephistopheles new alpha is out

By -
New alpha #0.09a (although the menu still shows it as 0.08a  ) is out with all new menu GUI, re-textured dungeons and spell crafting ability. Desura and Kot-in-Action e-Shoppe have it in stock! :) Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

its all good but why u limiting downloads from kot in action shop?
my router crashed and i lost 1 download, 2 remaining now.

It's simple - we pay for bandwidth and we are loosing money as no new pre-orders are coming in. Therefore, limited downloads.

any way to get desura key when i bought from kot in action website..it wasnt in desura when i bought it.
with desura there is no need to waste your bandwidth then

Nah, no idea how to setup secure torrent, like Blizzard does it. That would be perfect way of distributing games. Desura keys will come when we hit beta. Btw, why Desura if Steam will be on Linux pretty soon?
Hamish Jul 26, 2012
Because not all of us are intent to abandon Desura just because at some point a flashier option will be arriving?
motorsep Jul 26, 2012
Flashier or more convenient ? ;)

well steam not here yet...ofc steam would be nicer.(for me that is)
desura still have a place for some really indies :)

While I'm very excited about steam coming to linux, my preference, when I have a choice, will still be to buy from Desura as they were the first to support us.

And will always target different niches - still, this might give them more incentive to look into getting Mods working on the Desura Linux client. It would be very useful for games such as Postal 2 and Amnesia (not that Frictional ever responded to my request for a Desura key... grumble) Still trying to get AWP working the way I want it to on the new Postal builds (although I have got ED working fine).

Sorry for going off topic though motorstep. Did not mean to distract people from Tomes. ;)
