I recorded a new screencast for ToM where I briefly describe new features alpha #10 brought to you.

If you like the game and seeing it coming through into the release sooner rather than years from now, pre-order the game and get to play alpha instantly (and also with your friends online). Kot-in-Action e-Shoppe has it in stock :) Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

downloaded it the other day and have to say its starting to look really good, if you can add a good story/reason for exploring the dungeons in single player mode then I think it should be a great game.

hey, what do u use for screencast?
my avconv(ffmpeg) script doesnt want to work good with this game....fps in game shows nicely at 60 cap(v-synced) but actual footage is unacceptable..about 10-15 fps with huge skips...alltho the script is set to run on 30 fps.
also tested recordmydesktop and kazam.. all recorders have same issue with this game.
other games seems to record fine...

anyway...nice changes... love it

I used Fraps on Windows. There is nothing on Ubuntu 12.04 to record good quality screencast :(

Well, it was on Bluesnews because they picked it up. Press doesn't usually post about games they don't like and simply spamming them won't do any good. So we'll see if they will pick up on the update.

I tell you man if you posted this game on kickstarter with a low pledge to start I really think this game would do well. Hell I would be willing to invest more money into the game. Also I know I have talked to you about this before but if you had a gift system it would also help.

glc is pretty good once you get it installed (which can be a bit annoying as it is not packaged by most distros for some reason), and if you do not want to mess around with scripts and terminal commands you could use my Soul Capture program with it. ;)

I found myself fighting all that stuff and wasting time. Since I have Windows, I'll just do screencasts there from now on.

don't have windows for fraps...
weird thing is that i can record xonotic just fine with my script... same engine?
glc is pain in the ass for me...it works..but its doesnt want to record audio and cannot use the output file directly in openshot...have to encode first..takes lot of time.
