Urban Terror 4.2

By -
Urban Terror a cross platform online FPS (tactical shooter rather than the massive amount of quake likes) is about to hit 4.2 (release date is today).

4.2 is a massive update including a new game type, online authentication system, completely re-done hit detection (apparently it was a big problem) which made them create new player animations, new and updated maps etc...so quite a biggy!

Not to be confused with the next generation Urban Terror HD, this is a step in the right direction though towards a better game before the HD version comes out.

QuoteMain changes:

• New game type called Last Man Standing.
• New and updated maps.
• Updated matchmode + fixed a lot of bugs.
• Updated hit detection.
• Updated player model animations.
Auth system included; Account registration required.
UrTUpdater included; an auto-updater for the game.

More to come !

Looks like this update should get them a few players back! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.
