But still drm'd. Hopefully they'll decided to abandon it eventually.

I agree... The game is great, but the drm is a dealbreaker! I didn't choose an open OS to run drm-locked software on it.
But again... majesty is a true gem and if you dont have a problem with the drm, you'll love it!

Not to start another debate on it but their DRM really isn't that bad while yes it would be better without i've never had a problem with it.

LGP: you download it, you need to enter the code, give a password which you need to reinstall the game with that code on other pc's. That's about it. Have had no problems with it ever.
Steam: you need to log in and launch the game from within steam where it checks you actually own it and you download it. Have had no problems with it either.
it's really not that much different but one seems to get people into a oooh-no DRM !!! and the other is ooooh great it's coming :)

Majesty Gold was the first native game I purchased for Linux (through Tux Games as a matter of fact), and I'm happy to see it on Desura and Gameolith where it can get the recognition it deserves. I can't comment on how LGP's DRM affects the game because I still own the Linux CD from years ago but it will be interesting to see if LGP will send me a Desura key since I already own the game. If not I'll buy it again, that's how much I enjoy Majesty Gold!

Well, not from me there wasn't. But I agree with the sentiment; in either case you have to pick your poison. It is up to you whether you figure it is worth it.
Majesty is undeniably a good game in of itself though.
