Stop That Hero a real-time strategy game that puts you in the role of the villain!
The game is $8.50 and is available for Linux + 64bit, Mac and Windows.
To play “Stop That Hero!”, you use your resources to summon your army from the structures you own. Then you watch them do their dirty work.
Your minions have their own goals and desires, so you don’t control them directly. Luckily, most of their lives revolve around ridding the land of heroes so that you can run your evil empire in peace.
They’ll find the nearest enemy on their own, fighting and defending your castle so you don’t have to.
Your job is to decide where and when to summon. It sounds simple enough, doesn’t it?
Well, not if your enemies have anything to say about it.
Sounds a little bit like Majesty but your the evil ones.
Thanks KIAaze!

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Just wanted to chime in and say that I happen to know this guy, and he's definitely a supporter and user of Linux. We worked together back in 2005 to figure out how to build distribution-independent binaries, and some of the material in my Linux game development articles were things he happened to learn that he shared with me. He has also helped me test the Linux builds of my games. Gianfranco's a great guy.
He's tinkered around with mini games and participates frequently in Ludum Dare, but he's wanted to make a full-on game for some time now. This is his first big project, and I really like the concept. I'm looking forward to seeing how this evolves over the course of its development.

Sounds interesting but don't look so good.
Shame that many Indie games with great ideas neglect the graphic :( (I'm not a graphic whore, but I do expect something that looks better than a school work in MS-Paint).

You know, I think that 5 years ago, people would have scoffed at Minecraft screenshots, saying that the graphical quality was too low for the game to be enjoyable.
Whilst these graphics don't inspire me at all, I think I'll still give the demo a go and try to judge it for its gameplay.

There's a difference between blocky 3d graphics meant to be like that to what this game has.
I will keep watching and hoping for a graphical overhaul as for me unfortunately graphics are an issue.

That not an outlook I can relate to, but to each their own.

I actually kind of like the simplistic graphics, although I do agree that if he does not update them the game will not get the attention it may deserve.

I'm not crazy about the colour scheme or the font used, but I really like the artwork done for the units. Anyhow, it seems like a solid enough idea for a game so I'll give it a go.

Yeah he's acknowledged the art quality in several blog posts. I think he had hired an artist at one point, but that fell through. I'm sure it will be revised before he's done.
