Desurium needs testing

By -

Okay folks Desurium (The open source client for Desura) needs more testing and feedback. Remember to submit all bugs (although try to search first as to not double up on bugs).

It's not quite ready yet but the project itself is always in need of an extra hand so if you know anyone point them in their direction! They have a lot of work ahead and if another developer or two could jump in and help it could speed things up.

Their 0.8 release the first "official" open source release is nearing an RC release which will be awesome once it finally hits and hopefully some distro's can eventually include it in their repository's for real easy access.

Note: This post was originally about an RC release but i've been made aware that not quite ready yet.

Apologies to anybody who's gotten excited a bit early. The RC3 call for testing document is a draft that wasn't labelled as such (my bad).

It's close, and we'd love any feedback we can get, but we're not putting out our call for testing just yet (we're still working with package maintainers to make sure that RC3 is actually available) :)

I should probably grab myself a new build of it anyway though.

We've put out an official call for testing for RC3 now. Sorry for the mixup - we weren't sure how long it was going to take to get RC3 packages and builds together, and we didn't want to ask people to test something that they could only compile from source (since we've often had people who haven't been comfortable building it themselves wanting to try it out).
