Refract Studios have just announced via Kickstarter that Distance, the spiritual successor to the free (Windows only) arcade survival racer Nitronic Rush, will be supporting Linux.

QuoteWe’re excited to announce that Distance will officially be supported on Linux! We tested Distance using the Unity 4 beta, and we feel confident that we can safely bring Distance to Linux. You can read more about the Unity 4 Linux support by checking out their FAQ page here. For those of you who are Linux users, please help by reaching out to the Linux community and let them know that this game exists!

Distance's Steam Greenlight profile has also been updated to reflect this as well, so if you're not interested in backing the project on Kickstarter, but would still like to suport it, go vote for it :D Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

It does look quite interesting. Will be keeping an eye on this. I am no fan of racers, but battle racers? Oh, boy!
