Waking Mars is pretty cool, played until Chapter 2 so far, think it will be one of the few I actually complete as spacey sci fi stuff interests me.

Haven't bought it yet (no cash, and I'd love to support those devs), but as a proud beta-tester - Splice works perfectly, except for the weird window management - should be fixed soon, according to the porter. Also, it's based on Unity3D. As for the game, it's short (only 10 chapters, and I got through 8 in 2-3 hours), but oh it's so much fun. I hope there will be unofficial levels for it.

Eufloria HD has had its port available for only one day, and so far I can tell you it works fine, but the main menu is very blurry, for whatever reason, and the windows scaling is not yet fixed. The second part does not work on any system correctly though, so not the fault of the porter. Other than that, great. I only played it this morning for an hour before leaving for school, but I love the game - it's slow to start, but after that, it's amazing!

Waking Mars has had many of its bugs fixed, and the latest build is pretty much flawless as well. Fun game, I think, but not the best of the bundle.

You know the rest, as they've been there before.

Also, there's one other nice thing - Vessel seems to be getting very close to release according to the dev - apparently the shader bug is almost fixed and there aren't that many in the alpha. I haven't been able to run it though, not yet at least.

Go and buy it, those are quality ports and quality games.

Well i was enjoying Mars until it hard locked my whole system, nothing should do that :/

It also won't change screen resolution.

Sigh more buggy games. Maybe i should start calling them Crash Bundles in my titles, they release them far too bloody soon every time!

Ah, it worked on RC2 and then they fixed multimonitor support, so I guess it broke that. Report it as fast as you can, please, just ask for a bug report link on the Humble Bundle Chat. Or send them an e-mail, but you know the drift.

Also, the Linux version is not ported but made by the original devs, it's a fully crossplatform game, so quite nice.
Liam Dawe Nov 8, 2012
Well they didn't do enough testing it seems, changing resolution isn't a hard thing to test...

I guess I ask for too much.

As I said, it worked (it worked great actually), and now it's broken for single-monitor set ups. Please report the bug to them, as this is a recent regression, and the new builds were only out for a single day, but the beta-testing went over a period of at least two weeks.

I have reported it to [email protected] as soon as I found it.

I don't personally care if old builds where great, new builds should be thoroughly tested.

Just tried Splice, puzzle game it seems, very odd, not my type of game, nice music though.

Yeah, but just to say this: the devs are very Linux-friendly and new to Linux, and it seems to have passed unnoticed. I'm sure it'll be sorted out soon, as they have been very quick to respond to all complaints and bugs so far.

To each their own, I personally love Splice, just hate how short it is.
Liam Dawe Nov 8, 2012
It's just me I never really did like puzzle games like that where as sci fi stuff like Waking Mars is right up my street.
Hamish Nov 8, 2012
Well, thankfully the Humble guys are starting to realize the need for better testing and QA. They have been way too many problems lately.

As usual, stats for this bundle can be viewed/compared on my Humble Visualisations page :D

And I'm capturing some hourly data too (this stuff is work in progress though)

I'm in the process of slowly doing a big overhaul which will clean up a lot of the visual issues I've been running into with stuff getting crowded up >_<

had the lockup but could get out of it with a double ctrl+alt+backspace to kill X, shame its buggy, had fun time with it so far

Yep, waking mars tends to hang sometimes on seed interaction. Had one right after game load as well. Didn't stop me though. Almost completed the game.
Liam Dawe Nov 12, 2012
There is a new Waking Mars build out (and others): http://support.humblebundle.com/customer/portal/articles/838261-various-humble-bundle-for-android-4-changelogs

Will be trying it again once i've built my new PC either tomorrow or the day after :)
Bumadar Nov 12, 2012
they should somehow send you these update mails or on the download page show something like "you downloaded 1.0.3"
Liam Dawe Nov 12, 2012
Yes they need a much better system.

I have emailed them about it asking if they have anything in the pipeline and suggestion to put them onto their blog and main website to start with.
Liam Dawe Nov 12, 2012
Well I just had a nice conversation with "Wes" from humble support asking about game updates, the usual support robot who didn't read my email and simply said:
Hi Liam,
We have a newsletter which we send out when new bundles are available- you can subscribe at the top ofhttp://www.humblebundle.com/ where it says “Get notified of upcoming Humble Bundles!”
Hope this helps,

Not answering my actual email about game updates at all...i got a little annoyed after that heh but now he is going to suggested they update via their blog as well as per my suggestion since they already have the blog in place it requires no effort.
