Good news everyone!

The wise folk over at Tripwire have put up the binaries for Killing Floor and Red Orchestra on Steam so you can now play them if you own them and aren't in the BETA for Steam.

I can personally say Killing Floor is awesome, have played it for a long time now and I will be picking up Red Orchestra as well at some point when I have money! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I hope that since Epic eventually ported UE3 again to Mac, maybe they'll actually release the Linux port now.

Anyone else getting texture errors in KF though? Some levels are fine, others are half-white.

Where does one acquire this binary? It'd be great to finally not have to use WINE for this game.

As in, I don't see WHERE in Steam or on their Website I can get it as a non-Beta user. Unless I'm misinterpreting what you mean by non-Beta user.

Hello, you can currently use steam without beta access. You need to use the work around by launching steam via typing in the terminal "steam steam://games,"

If you own the game, it'll show up in your library and you can install it from there.

Well you buy it and its then in your Steam library.

See above comment.

Yep, I was misinterpreting what you meant by non-Beta user. I have no interest in bypassing the beta limitations, because if they wanted everyone just diving in they would've just let everyone dive in. So I guess I'll wait for now. I'm hearing it has great performance though, which is awesome. Hopefully it won't be long until I'll join all you Beta-users and By-passers in some Zombie slaying fun!

Can someone who owns Steel Storm on Steam verify that they also have it on Linux (cos Valve told me it suppose to be on it, regardless if person is in beta program or not, however I haven't seen any Linux resource, including this one, ever mentioning it) ?

Works fine.

On killing floor: Maybe I just don't understand how this game works, but are your perk/skill things supposed to reset after every game?

Uhh, no. No they are not. But in my experience it was sometimes really glitchy about perk level.

Do note that only certain maps and mutators are "Whitelisted" for experience gain. Any map the game comes with and a fair portion of community maps are whitelisted. Most mutators are not whitelisted.
