Spatial-Flux - A Pixel Art style Text Adventure set in Space is a new Kickstarter that I just couldn't hold off posting about.

QuoteSpatial-Flux is a Rogue-like adventure game in space. Utilising high resolution backgrounds and pixel art to create a unique experience for the player.

Sounds awesome, the pictures so far look great too!

Absolutely love the graphical style of this, really can't wait to see this one come out, I'm a sucker for space games!

It resembles FTL in the way that it's in space and a rouge-like but it seems that's where the similarities end.
QuoteDuring the game you will have to shuffle various different resources to keep your ship running and the crew alive including; food, energy, flux, credits, materials, crew morale, crew enthusiasm and the ships hull strength.

Sounds like it will be more about managing your ship and crew than getting from A-B like FTL, which actually makes it sound more interesting.

You need to pay £10+ to secure a copy of the game which is reasonable. Be sure to check this one out and let us know what you think!

The developer had this to say about Linux support:
QuoteAs soon as I realised including Linux support was not just possible but fairly easy it was a simple choice, no need for a stretch goal at all :)

When asking about the engine the developer stated:
QuoteI am building the majority of the game in Construct 2, I wont be suprised if you havent heard of it, for some reason it is not very well know. But its similar to GameMaker only a lot better, more updates and a bigger friendlier community... well maybe not bigger its hard to compare.
Heh, anyway Construct 2 now includes exporting to multiple platforms, so after some decent beta testing on the three platforms there shouldn't be a problem. :)

First campaign did not fund, and then re-launched a week or so ago.

Still looking really good, and is still on Linux.  Pretty cool that pledging £25 lets you design an event!  Those quirky backer events are a large part of what made FTL cool (I know, Spatial Flux is not FTL, but there are enough similarities, in that respect, that I feel certain that they'd have a similar effect).

I hope you make it this time!  Consider transitioning the project to Desura's alpha-funding program if possible.  That might help you raise the Greenlight submission fee, and maybe a few pence extra :)
