Hello fellow penguin owners.
Check out screenshots of an MMORPG that will be on Linux (support Greenlight project on Steam!).
I can't say much, but who needs telling when they have permission from the developers to publish screenshots!
Game is still beta but so far it's probably the most beautiful game I've come across on Linux, by means of engine/textures.
Though I am in a few other betas, it has very close contenders.
BEHOLD!!!!!!
Check out underwear :P I think it's a very strong statement. pretty much a commitment there and then.

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
No, I didn't ask express permission from Threegates -- the video I posted does not show anything they themselves haven't already published and the BETA is available to anyone who pre-orders the game and can experience themselves. If you feel it's justified you can report my video to them, I will happily oblige if they don't want adverts on it (though pretty much every other youtube video of similar footage has ads), but a take down request seems... Unorthodox to say the least.
I don't know, maybe they work differently to every other indie studio I've had dealings with, but I've not portrayed the game in any negative light (no commentary on it) -- I've just shown a small glimpse of some of the actual gameplay -- and surely neutral (free) publicity is always good?
Thanks! I honestly have no idea about the state of the co-op right now, I don't know anyone else with it so I haven't even looked :P
What is available in the current build is still very limited, only a handful of weapons / armours and missions. Last time I played (a few months ago) I completed everything available in about 30 minutes.
Also, Linux specific underwear can be seen in the video ;)
its more like small number of players on Co-Op Game
as MMORPG stands for Massively multiplayer online role-playing game
so it can be MORPG without Massively :D
nice game though, last time i tried there was beta v2
is that updated?
cause there were some nasty bugs before
It's on BETA build 10 now, not actually 100% sure when that was released though -- still has a few bugs, the biggest being the fact that you often loose all controls except moving after you've been knocked down.
Talking about existing bugs in beta IMHO is even worse. :(
There are many games that are MMORPG, when in reality, you leave settlement and you can't ever come across anyone by design, unless you left with party. I think this one will be one of those, but it's speculation and I hope I am wrong.
Please don't feel that I'm having a go at you or anything, because I'm not -- everything I've previously said and will say are down to my experiences with BETA testing a *lot* of games.
I have to ask though, don't call me dude please.
A little correction to myself, *anyone* can try out the BETA. The link http://www.aethereusgame.com/beta/ is completely public. Anyone and their dog can try it out and there is no NDA on that page or, in fact, even a "by downloading, you agree to our terms and conditions here [link]".
Also, I see you are pretty active in the Linux bug report area of the forums -- that too is completely public, so anyone can see there are issues with the current build. My video is doing nothing outside of what you have done by posting on their forums, except mine includes a moving image and single comment of the one bug I picked up on in 45 minutes of play.
I want to play games on Linux and I want to show people what Linux gaming is capable of, but I also want to be objective about it, rather than taking adding my personal preference to the mix -- which is why I don't do commentaries (though I may in the future, for already established games) -- if that means that the game in question looks less than fantastic to some people, then so be it.
I have, in the past, been subject to signing NDA's and even secrecy acts (in a previous job) -- this does not bare any of the hallmarks of either.
I genuinely don't know what you are trying to say here, or even if it was aimed at me or not.
That's no client update at all, not just the Linux version (as far as I can tell).
My name is Maria, and I work with ThreeGates (the guys who are making Legends of Aethereus).
I just wanted to confirm that Dimko did indeed ask permission from us before posting screenshots, and he's in no kind of trouble from our end. ;)
Also, I wanted to let you know that we started our Multiplayer-Beta a short while back, fixing a lot of the old problems in our beta, and that we'll be updating the Multiplayer-Beta again shortly. Thanks for the word! :)
Best regards;
