Skullgirls For Linux Confirmed

By @nlguve -

A couple of days ago I wrote an article here on GOL, to ask if we could show our demand for the game Skullgirls.

And they just announced that they will support Linux in the future! (They announced it even before OSX!)

Note: The funding campaign is for the DLC which you can preorder for $5.
For information about getting the game check out their website at skullgirls.com.

To me, it's very awesome to see that we can convince game developers that we are a viable market.

Looks like it's a DLC.
Will I really get the game if I pay $5? o.0

Point. I've edited the article accordingly to avoid any confusion.

Well, the funding campaign is for quite a few things (including the DLC) but most importantly it's to help with the PC release (and now Linux), At the $30 backer level you get a steam code for the PC release, as well as access to the PC beta. Someone should find out if there will be a Linux beta, as well as if the Linux version is actually going to be native. I remember them talking about a possible cider mac port.

Quoting: Kameif the Linux version is actually going to be native. I remember them talking about a possible cider mac port.

I recall this as well, although it doesn't really matter to me if its native or not as long as its supported I am ok with them using any method possible.

They haven't released much info, but a week or two ago they mentioned that someone had contacted them wanting to do a Linux port, so I'd assume that it will be native.
