That's it folks Half-Life 2 and it's episodes are officially out of Beta to join Portal on the Linux platform, it looks like my predictions could be a little off...
I predicted here what I think will happen with the Valve Linux ports but it seems I was wrong since a lot more games are now out of Beta which is usually a sign that a new port is incoming!
Personally I only this year completed Half-Life 1 thanks to it's Linux port, so I am yet to really see how good Half-Life 2 is on Linux!
Great news though! Go show Valve some love and buy a copy will ya?

In my experience Half-Life 2 port is as good as it can be. The last time I played, it was still in beta, but I have not noticed any major issues. Only some minor texture problems (it seemed that an object got full-bright in one short scene), and a door that did not open after pulling a switch (which worked fine after I reloaded the last save). There were more bugs in Half-Life 1 final than Half-Life 2 beta.
By the way, if you are able to buy from a Danish web shop, you can get The Orange Box for half a price of that on Steam. Check the sales section.

I' am waiting for Portal 2. Got that game for a while, but never played. Waiting for that sweet Linux port to arrive.
