Daniel was just an average guy. He was a great videogame player, a big fan of sci-fi movies, and a novice RPG player. In the midst of an RPG, he was teleported to a castle. At first, Daniel believed that he was having a massive hallucination. Eager to keep playing within the RPG to create his own adventure, he decides to go along for the ride until his delirium comes to an end.

A dish this hint out to all Linux users: Do not buy any newer games on gog.com leave them for really old titles that have no chance of a port.

Welp, the only problem is... "A friend" of theirs has been "going to port" the game to Linux (as stated on their page and in this article) for AGES now (IIRC over a year). So I wouldn't hold my breath until I see actual proof.
(don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it happen. I just DON'T see it happening any time soon or late)

Yep. GoG.com is not our friend, unfortunately. Not yet, anyway. It's simply the best (and often, only) way to buy Good Old Games... but less so, Good Not-So-Old Indies :P
I like their attitude, and would welcome them as another Linux game distributor, should they ever bother to listen to all of the folks voting for Linux support on their wishlist!
Anyway, Unepic looks like a pretty cool, and very weird, Castlevania-ish RPG w/roguelike elements. I've heard it's pretty funny, too, but that the humour is "quirky" (or something?).

So the facts are: he still cares about porting Unepic and did not change his mind about that. From what we see, Greenlight was the priority and perhaps since the game got it the port will come in next weeks after the game will be released - and not only as Steam Early Access, but full featured version. However, the game won't go outside Early Access until they will finish multiplayer mode (currently in beta).
We are really looking forward for Linux release!

Just as an aside for the gog purchasers. You can get a steam key from the unepic site http://www.unepicgame.com/en/myzone.php . You can get your serial number on your gog games page. Assuming that once it get ported it will be available on steam. I know its a round about way, but until gog lets us get the linux binaries somehow its something.

Good, I held out buying it on GOG. GOG is going to lose a lot of sale by refusing to include the linux binaries. I still support GOG for their really old games.

How much money do you need to donate to receive a key? It would be a nice benefit. Is there some threshold you need to reach?
