Paragon Evolved a sci-fi first person shooter

By -
Paragon Evolved is a science fiction first-person shooter developed by two people using the Unity game engine. It has a very early demo available to try and it's looking good!

The game itself is currently a wave based shooter where you fight through seemingly endless hordes of enemies, it's pretty good though for a start.

Features
-Intense, tactical combat
-7 types of intelligent enemies
-35+ attachments & upgrades
-8 customizable weapons
-6+ wave-based maps
-Original soundtrack by Brandon Romauld

I have tested this one myself and it works fine on my system, will be great to see how this one can progress, reminds me a bit of Livalink which has sadly died a bit.

It's great to see more of these types of FPS games come out, thanks to Unity3D as usual!

Paragon has way better graphics than Livalink.

I like the tron feel.

I am still hoping for someone to make a classic late '90s single player like shooter on Unity. Someday maybe.

Hm...somewhat nice...I will give it a try this week...but...
...not to sound too disruptive but how much more competitive FPS do we need beside the commercial ones (Q3A, Quake4, UT, UT2k3, UT2k4) and the free ones (Xonotic, Sauerbraten, Nexuiz, etc) ?

It seems to make more sense for me to do a co-op / SP shooter than doing anything DM / Invasion like.

There are some cool concepts which are simply waiting to be re-implemented (e.g. the Quake mod Kleshik).

Holger I agree we have a lot of those types of FPS, I have been very vocal about how many we have. This is different though this is a single player wave based shooter against AI.

I do wish some of the open source games tried slowing down their gameplay and separatingthemselves from the tired run and jump about gameplay.

Dev Here. :)

This game is solely single player right now; there is not an ounce of multiplayer in the game at the moment.  Looking forwards to hearing your opinion on the game.

Problem with that is you then have to compete with COD, BF, and ARMA.  Good luck with that. :)

Although, Paragon Evolved's sniper has an attachment which quite literally slows down the gameplay.
