Project 64 Nintendo 64 emulator is open sourced!

This will be a win for Nintendo fans, an Nintendo 64 Emulator named Project 64 was open sourced this year!

Writing on their blog on April 1st (not an april fools though):
QuoteThe beta program is now closed. You can now install project64 2.0 and get the clone the source if you want to.

the source can be cloned via git at:

Also we now have an Emulation category, feel free to submit new about Emulators too :)

haven't looked into the sourcecode, but I doubt it is written with portability in mind.
Would be nice oc to have two different n64 emulators but mupen64plus is portable and works fine since years.
