This will be a win for Nintendo fans, an Nintendo 64 Emulator named Project 64 was open sourced this year!

Writing on their blog on April 1st (not an april fools though):

haven't looked into the sourcecode, but I doubt it is written with portability in mind.
Would be nice oc to have two different n64 emulators but mupen64plus is portable and works fine since years.
