A hack and slash action adventure, set in a fantasy pixel art environment. Play solo or co-op in this adventure from bottom to top of Castle Hammerwatch. Kill hordes of enemies with varied looks and features through four unique environments with traps, hidden secrets and puzzles.

I have been waiting for this one, purchased it and played it last night and again this morning it's so good.

Key Features
  • 4 different classes, with unique features and skills
  • Character development through unlocks and upgrades
  • Hard, medium and easy of course
  • Customize difficulty with several different modifiers
  • Controller support, supports various different gamepads
  • Multiplayer COOP, for up to four players, online, LAN and local
  • Linux, Mac and Windows support
  • Mod and editing support, make your own levels and change other things to your liking

I thought it was quite easy until I discovered bombs inside some of the barrels, then later getting cornered by bats with grubs shooting at me, it was lulling me into a false sense of security! Thankfully there are checkpoints so you don't have to start all over again.

Well worth the money folks (£6.29, it's 10% off until the 19th), be warned though it does use Mono, not MonoGame either just standard Mono so you may need to install it yourself.

It might not show up in the list of your games..but if you claimed the page that you got after buying it..it will be on the very bottom of the list in your humble bundle account...should be under "hammerwatch"

"Other Products" section very bottom of "My account" page. They dont supply a downloadable client through humble. They give you a steam key generator.

What happens if you're not on an Ubuntu-based Distro where the mono packages were never compiled for (i.e. Fedora)?
I've got that issue - tried to compile and install mono from source on fedora and it's never worked right for me and there's no Mono package in any Fedora (or other RHEL-based) repository.

Sorry, but what humbleBundle are you talking about here? I have all of them, yet I don't recall this game being available in any of those...
Thanks

I guess the game was crowdfounded through Kickstarter or such and was made available through the Humble Store. Or he bought it from the dev website that uses the Humble Store widget. The games that use this system are treated like Humble bundles and appear in your account, even if they were never part of a Humble (Indie) Bundle.

E.g. on my account I have Tiny Barbarian DX (kickstarted), FTL (bought on the game website) & Legend of Dungeon (kickstarted, currently in beta). I can download them like the games I got through bundles.

Ahh my old nemesis Mono, we meet again. Seems my Arcane explosions failed to relieve you of your life on our last encounter. This time I'll wrap my hands around your soulless code and devour your life until you wither like leaves in the fall. And nevermore will you cause unhappiness to Tux.

P.S. It's a fun game regardless.

I just checked again and only teh soundtrack appears in my HumbleBunde account.
If I remember well I pre-ordered it from the dev' website when I read it would be DRM free.
So far I only have the Steam key but I do not have an account on this site has I try to avoid DRM as best as I can.

According to what I pre-ordered they should:

"Thanks for purchasing Hammerwatch!

Thanks for pre-ordering! When available, you'll be able to get your direct downloads (cross-platform and DRM-free) and Steam key for Hammerwatch right here on your download page!"

Looks very fun. Like a combination of Pocky Rocky and Zelda.
Will probably end up buying this.

At the bottom of the page of your HB account, you don't have "Other products" (below "Bundles") with a link to a separate page for this game?
