Welcome to the first ever GOL Cast, episode one featuring a little game called Dungeon Colony and my horrible voice. Be gentle on me this was spur of the moment and lots of issues to work out.

Feedback is welcome, if anything I ideally need a good start/end picture or animation if anyone is up for the task? Graphics and animation are not my strong point.
I also need to write lines I think to make it easier to talk about the games in the video.
So be gentle because it's my first time.
Game Features
- General
- 2D tile based Dungeon Crawler; instead of playing the hero, you play the opposite side.
- During Alpha development the game is open-ended and in sandbox mode. To add challenge for this round of testing & balancing we added enemy waves which are becoming more numerous and difficult as you become more powerful.
- Game Controls
- Fell a tree or dig a wall by selecting it (left click), a worker will decide when to go work.
- Workers can be controlled but go on with their business when left alone.
- Your Minions need to have food available otherwise they become weak and slow and eventually starve to death.
- Minions need to have liars otherwise they become tired and slow.
- Your minions have got to get paid! They desire gold more than leprechauns. If they don't get paid, they become lazy and slow.
- Enemies come from different parts of the land. Each part may have unique enemy types. Scouts report on your map when enemies are about to become a threat.
- Technical
- Integrated Game Updater always downloads the latest version.
- Game compatible on Mac, Windows and Linux Operating Systems.

You need to work on sound, but you already know that. Foam shield on the mic should help.
Why you recoding whole desktop and not focusing on game window only ?
Need graphics ? like some startup boards ? msg me, i can help.
What soft you use to post process your video if at all ?

I will look up a foam shield, do they really help that much?
As for recording desktop - I usually do full screen games, this one doesn't have that option and the script I use (which is the only one I’ve found that actually works) doesn't have a windowed option.
I just use OpenShot for sorting the video out.

Wind shield helps to get noise out that you normally don't pay attention to and it's only surfacing on recording.

Nice cast, I would not worry about the voice, it is perfectly fine, and is quite agreable, I would be quite ok to listen to that even without a foam shield. Content wise, at the end of the cast, one has a clear picture of what the game has to offer; you explain what the point of the game is, give an interactive walk-through of the GUI, and peppered the description with some personal insights into the game mechanics, so it is mission accomplished.
Two points of constructive criticism, I know one doesn't always like that, but here goes: You have the famous linguistic parasite of the "you know" & "ummm" which buffers your comments at the beginning (They disappear once you are busy playing after a minute or so). I come across that a lot as I work in recruitment, and candidates often resort to that. Some self help coming along: http://douglaswhaley.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/how-to-stop-saying-you-know.html & http://www.artofmanliness.com/2012/06/14/becoming-well-spoken-how-to-minimize-your-uhs-and-ums.
The other point is the quality of the screencast video, as mentioned by Bart, there may be ways of uploading better quality pictures, as it is still a bit blurry, even on 720.
I am not a screencast expert, in fact, I have never uploaded a video, especially after my failed attempt of playing in an amateur film production. That day, I realised I would not be the next De Niro.
I am certainly looking forward to future screencasts.
@Bart - what software for post processing would you suggest?

Wow OZS thank you, that makes me feel a lot more confident in future knowing my voice doesn't annoy at least.
Will look to get a wind shield asap and the fellows on our irc (#gamingonlinux on freenode! join us) gave me some great advice on reducing the noise from within Audacity too so next weeks one should be far better.
As for the umming and ahh'ing I know it's terrible heh, it's because I didn't prepare anything it was just spur of the moment to get things going really, the next one will be better with what I say hopefully :)
The problem with the video quality was OpenShot, my local video is perfect at 1080p so it's being compressed on export oops! Next one again will be better :)
Thanks all!
