Dota2 the massively popular MOBA from Valve is set to get a pretty decent update soon for Linux users!
Linux specific fixes:
- Fixed issues with older PulseAudio installations.
- Improved stability when showing webpages.
- Allow setting language of audio and text separately, through Steam. (Text comes from Steam's language, audio comes from the language set in Dota 2's properties on Steam)
- Made Dota2 respond to window manager requests to close it.
- Fixes to make Dota2 work on a broader set of video cards on Linux
- Fixed key repeat to work in text entry windows.
- Fixed loading screens to show an image instead of a black screen
- Fixed a bug preventing multiple users from playing Dota2 (at different times) on a machine.
- Fixed sounds not working when a matchmaking game is ready to start. Added a desktop notification on Linux
- Added XBox 360 spectating controller support.
- Fixed crash on hero selection screen on Linux.
- Fixed a rendering bug when turning off Specular in advanced video settings.
- Fixed mouse offset bug and window size/aspect ratio issue when moving from full screen to windowed modes.
So if it didn't work for you before once this developer build lands on the main game it may be worth trying again considering the first bold item.
The second bold item will be a godsend, I have been in the queue before for 3 minutes and quickly checked IRC only to come back and find a match was found but I got no notification sound and then had to re-queue, highly annoying so this build will be great for Linux players.
Update: According to the comments it's out already, would be nice if the developers actually updated the official changelog...*sigh*

Yes, these fixes is in official main client from yesterday. These fixes from dev2.dota2.com is all in the official main client, because me and my friend tested Captain's mode and there are Abandon and more heroes.

Very annoying that they aren't putting out the public main changelog then, makes it all a bit confusing.

Yes, the update was yesterday, as a matter of fact there was two updates, one with more than 200 MB and after some time there was a very little one, I didn´t play Dota 2 after these, I will see what changed.
