The game is one of the Kickstarters that hit it big to come out, so I imagine quite a few people are eagerly awaiting it. I am not a Kickstarter backer myself but will be picking it up when it comes out.
The only thing that bugs me about it is that it doesn't have a "proper" save system, it uses checkpoints, checkpoints in big games like this usually do nothing but annoy me. You won't always have time to go off and find a checkpoint to save so you could lose progress if you don't play it at a time when you know for as fact you have a lot of free time.
These save systems always remind me of a time when space was an issue, so developers had to place limits like checkpoints on. So we will soon see if it is a game-changer or not.

TBH I already downloaded it to windows because it took so much time to (start) getting ported

@Ba7a7chy: Been there done that. I value my freedom more than getting a game quickly on NSA/Windows. I can wait =)

This game has mixed reviews, but should be worthwhile as the developers are gradually adding features to address some of the players concerns. I will certainly buy it as soon as it is ported.
@Ba7a7chy: I have so many games to play that I can afford to wait until games are patched and fully playable. I waited until now to play Skyrim, so that shows how much one can wait. I am not sure yet whether to try it on wine or on my windows partition. I do try to avoid going on my windows hard drive as much as I can. Irony is yesterday I got the Steam survey on one of the rare occasions I was lurking on my windows partition.

Next week they tell us they just started to work on it that week...
Anyway, the game runs fine with Wine (except mouse scroll for me).

Same here, I can also wait since I have to many games to play on Linux ^^
At the moment I have Guild Wars 2 (wine) and Minecraft on GoL Server to play. Also my Linux Steam library has 110 games already ^^

Also, Totalbiscuit liked SR:R. He, of course, pointed out flaws, chiefly the checkpointing system (which the devs supposedly implemented due to cost and expediency), but over-all was very impressed.

I can make quoting work, but it is a pain. I also got an SQL error but misclicked rather than copying the text :-(

I've played it a bit and immensely enjoyed it. Main complaints are:
- short campaign which does not bother me as I barely have enough time to complete a short one and the price was not that high
- the checkpoint system mentioned here which is a debatable design decision that I happen to like as a compulsive load/save abuser when that is available
- very run of the mill story which is not a problem to me as I've been exposed to so little shadowrun/cyberpunk that it feels fresh
So I think this is a must-have. Didn't originally back it on kickstarter but the gameplay video they released a while back got me so excited that I just had to buy it at that point.
