New Frictional Games Teaser Site

By -
So it seems the creators behind Amnesia and Penumbra series are up to something with a new teaser website!

If you go here you are confronted with an image with a progress bar, which is of writing is stuck at 39%, it seems to be going up reasonably fast as well so in a matter of days it should reach 100%. The big question is, will Frictional Games be able to tear themselves away from their horror games or will it be another?

Considering the style of that page it doesn't look to be set in the past as with their other games, so could we see futuristic horror game or something different entirely? Exciting. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I had suspected that Frictional would start revealing details about their next game after A Machine for Pigs was released. :)

Maybe something with a similar gameplay to System Shock... :)

Although it doesn't look like it I still hope they do something else then another horror game. I get that this is what they seem to do best (despite the Penumbra and Amnesia games having a fair amount of flaws), but it's also the only thing they have done. I would love to see how and what they can also do. They seem like a very creative bunch and I really don't want them to lock themselves to just doing horror games. Also I fear that if devs continue to ride the current horror game hype (even if they might have started it) too long it might hurt them sooner then later.
At least in some interviews they stated that they are open to new ideas and genres. I really hope that they actually are.

I personally would like to see a more puzzle oriented game like Penumbra: Requiem. Under appreciated gem (as is Penumbra as a whole, but especially Requiem).

Looks like another horror game. Hopefully as awesome as the other ones.

I don't think that was intended. http://wiki.frictionalgames.com/ also has that text.

LE: Indeed it was not. This is on their tweet feed:

One or several persons are currently making tons of requests, slamming our servers, which in the end will just make the booting take longer.

There's a video in the page,.it looks great. I don't know why but the video reminds me In Memoriam (aka Missing since January).
