It’s a dark and stormy night at Professor Stinkbaum’s lab where a machine has been built to save the world by trans-existing all pollution to a far-away location in time and space dubbed Dimension X-Crement.

Eccentric millionaire Snotty Ragsdale has taken a job at the lab to investigate its safety and to find out exactly where the pollution is going. He has a bad feeling about Professor Stinkbaum’s latest contraption.

This night his suspicions will come true...

Join Boogerman on his journey to uncover the mysteries and evil that lurk within Dimension X-Crement!

In their latest update they announced full Linux support!

QuoteThank you for all of your feedback, we are happy to announce that we are now supporting Linux! Keep spreading the word, we have a lot of days left to make this project happen! Go Green!

They are looking for $375K in total and have over 15K with 32 days still to go, so they could easily hit it especially with the penguins on board.

Looks like they have rather a lot of game-dev experience too so should be a sure thing.

Who the hell is Boogerman anyway?

You are Snotty Ragsdale (aka Boogerman), an eccentric millionaire posing as a mild mannered Janitor working for the globally renowned scientist, Professor Stinkbaum. A catastrophic event will send you into Dimension X-Crement where you will have to use your mega-powered bodily functions to takedown the dreaded Booger Meister and his army of Nose Goblins. You will pick, flick, run, jump, fly, gas, and swim your way through 6 unique worlds. Throughout the game, you will be aided by professor Stinkbaum with brand new gadgets such as the Snot Whip, and the Snot-so-Silent-Butt-Deadly Fart Copter!

Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure is a 2D platform video game created by Interplay Entertainment and released for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis in 1994 and later on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1995. The Genesis version was also released on the Wii Virtual Console in North America on November 24, 2008 and in Europe on December 12, 2008. Boogerman also made a cameo appearance as a playable character as the rival of Earthworm Jim in Interplay's ClayFighter 63⅓.

The original game animation consisted of over 2000 hand drawn frames. Each frame of animation was drawn on animation paper, cleaned up, inked, scanned in, shrunk down, and colored before it went into the game.

You need to pay out $15 for a copy as the early bird backers are practically gone now.

Finally they are looking for help on Steam's greenlight so go vote boogerman for office.

Might want to link to the campaign, in addition to embedding the pitch video:

I played it on the SNES, I saw the campaign but didn´t see Linux support, I also saw they were using Unity so I had my hopes up, I am glad they announced Linux support!
