Wow, that's a chilling trailer!!  I love the painterly look of the watercolor background... really a cool way to invoke an atmosphere of side-scrolling action-adventure, very cinematic.

The alpha gameplay trailer reminds me a lot of Abuse from the late 90's, but with some differences, mainly modern graphics and a slower pace to allow for puzzles and story elements.

It does seem that Steam is the only way to buy the Linux version (apparently they distribute exclusively on Steam and GOG).

That was some of the best voice acting I've heard in ages. That trailer gave me the chills. Dublin beckons this weekend, but I think I'm buying this for my return. Superb.

Seems to be a 4 hour game with a crap ending, steam forums are pretty upset about this, more info at www.kotaku.com/no-cash-and-a-failed-kickstarter-is-why-dark-matter-end-1448432784

Wow, another take on it from Game Informer:  http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2013/10/20/dark-matter-publisher-address-the-game-39-s-abrupt-ending.aspx

Really looks to me like they should have marked it as an episodic adventure platformer, and put this version up on Early Access, with the caveat that they're working on it.  As it stands, they've already changed the "ending" once, and are going to do so again (i.e., give it a proper cinematic).  That marks it "unfinished", to me, regardless of the length and polish of the content.

They should have hired their trailer video team to create an ending cinematic in precisely that art style, and with similar voiced narration, and probably priced it below $15.

I was waiting very much for this game, but I am a little disapointed because of what I read here, it looked very promising to me.

I've heard about the "ending issue" on several websites (BTW, you can update the article: the game has been pulled off from Steam due to being unfinished) and while I've read that most of the staff of Interwave have been laid off in august, I didn't realize that they were behind Nuclear Dawn too. I've just come across an article from NoFrag (french website, article in french too: http://www.nofrag.com/2013/oct/22/43989/) that says that given the situation, it's unlikely we see new updates for Nuclear Dawn.

Given the fact that Linux support was planned for the next update, do you have information about this? Is ND's development stopped too?
