Have you ever wanted to be president? or prime-minister? Convinced you could do a better job of running the country? Let's face it, you could hardly do a worse job than our current political leaders. Crime, Unemployment, National Debt, Terrorism, Climate Change...
I have been a little critical of this developer for not looking into porting it himself (because of issues with Gratuitous Space Battles), but he has forked out for someone else to port it and so far so good!
A little late on this one too since I had internet issues recently it was hard to keep up with everything!
Democracy 3 simulates the motivations, loyalties and desires of everyone in the country. A custom-designed neural network is used to model individual voters, each which varying memberships of voting groups, political parties and pressure groups. Each voters income is modeled, along with their levels of complacency and cynicism. This is the most sophisticated political strategy game ever created.

I want this game so much but £19 is too much for me right now. Honestly though almost my most wanted game on Steam (not that my wishlist is any sort of order lol)

Pretty crazy it is more expensive to buy from them direct.
@Mongrol can you please explain to me why you hate Steam, its DRM but its not bad DRM, please don't just say all DRM is bad because that is obvious. Valve is helping Linux greatly at the moment, especially for gamers. I hate annoying DRM but Steam is more a convenience than an annoyance. I have 124 Linux games I can download as many times as I want, lots of which backup their saves automatically, I can play them on all my systems, please tell me what the limitations are that prevent you from using a service which is helping Linux, don't say online because you can play all games offline, unless they have extra non Steam DRM. Your welcome to your opinion I just want to understand.

@SteamPenguin: I use Steam frequently, but I do think a lot about it in future-tense. Anything bad can happen at any time, say for example a sudden world-wide economy tank and Steam goes bankrupt...say goodbye to your games. Any number of things can happen that will suddenly prevent you from playing your games. Murphy's law, what can happen will happen.
Whereas, the pile of disks I have in my closet aren't going anywhere; nor do they need any type of Internet connection. They are all older games though, before the Internet DRM and DLC things happened. Take Desura for example, unlike Steam you can download stand-alone versions of your game; no Desura needed. I probably wouldn't think about it so much if Steam was more like Desura, which I find myself using more and more over Steam lately.
