I spoke with the developer of SubLight a game coming at the end of this month and they are in need in testers!
SubLight Alpha Preview - Desura
This is what the developer has said about testing:
You can grab it for £3.99 on Desura right now in alpha and help support the developer.
I must say this one looks delightfully odd. You know I am a sucker for space games, but with that trailer it doesn't exactly explain it very well so I asked the developer to word it out for us:
Well "SimCity in space" you have my attention.
What do you think folks?
SubLight Alpha Preview - Desura
This is what the developer has said about testing:
QuoteThe best way linux testers can help out is by downloading the current Linux version from IndieDB, or directly from my dropbox.
They can email any bugs they find to [email protected]
I post a lot about SubLight on my twitter @Spacew00t
If they're interested in purchasing SubLight, they can find it on Desura, which gives them access to the game on all platforms!

QuoteRight now it's a very early alpha, which means the focus of development is fairly behind the scenes. Ultimately, the game will operate like a SimCity in space. The player will be tasked with managing their resources, keeping the population under control, and constructing their ship.
Eventually, there will be challenges, or possibly story missions, that compel the player to explore the procedurally generated galaxies. One of the big themes in SubLight, as the name suggests, is the lack of faster than light travel. I feel this is an often unexplored aspect of space travel: what happens if our current understanding of physics is correct, and we can never reach or exceed the speed of light?
Well "SimCity in space" you have my attention.
What do you think folks?
