The Wine Development Release 1.7.5 Is Now Available

Continuing their effort of improving experimental Wine branch, developers have reached new goalpost and released version: 1.7.5.
It includes many additional features and 30 bugfixes for known problems present in version 1.7.4.

The few most interesting features introduced in this release:

  • Support for registration-free COM using activation contexts.
  • Improved support for simulated bold fonts.
  • Unicode data updated to Unicode 6.3.
  • Better support for typelib registration on 64-bit.
  • Various bug fixes.

crossover is now on beta 13.0.0.beta2, using wine 1.74 with some fixes.  my Rift experience went from 12-14FPS to 42-48FPS in the same spot, sort of amazing
