Humble Finally Launches The Humble Store

By -
The Humble Store - I have said before they would launch a store and they finally did, it also has a sale for the next 24 hours to celebrate!

Oddly they don't seem to have a DRM free filtering option, I thought that would be something they would keep a focus on, it is after-all one on the things people (including me) have fired shots at them for when launching big DRM'd bundles. So for this store not to have a DRM free option it is a little annoying.

One of the best things about this store is that they are already massively well known and indies will hopefully do pretty well on it! The next best thing is that still 10% of all sales go to charity and they have a running total as well, can't wait to see that go up and up!

It currently only has 5 games available for Linux, I hope this gets padded out as more developers who already use them agree to go onto the store. You should seriously check it out for the sales of the Linux games though, it's a great chance to pick up some cheap ones.

Current Games

Natural Selection 2
Prison Architect Alpha
Rogue Legacy
Euro Truck Simulator 2
Don't Starve

You can't seem to link directly to store items either as everything is done on single pages where the games name opens a panel, I hope they fix that so we can in future link directly. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Sorry, but why should I care about American Red Cross? I hope they will add games which are already at store, but are not visible without direct link.

The Charities on the Humble Bundle are very American...but the panel is larger than the one we are usually aware of: Humble Bundle Charities. $26 million to charity: Kudos to them. I wish I could choose which charities to give to. Say 90% to Water, but only 0.5% to the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America? I mean, wow, a charity for fantasy writers? Come on!

Anyhoot, they will release all their back catalog to the store, of that I am sure.
