Nuclear Dawn has finally come to Linux in beta form on Steam, this hybrid FPS/RTS game should be a familair game for you Natural Selection 2 fans.

Initial, partial changelog:
Added Linux support for game.
Added missing "Final" Hammer compile configuration.
Fixed Russian and Czech Languages not being selectable in Steam game properties.

Fixed issues when publishing Workshop files > 100mb.
Increased individual user Workshop storage quota to 1gb.
Fixed minimap placement issues that would sometimes occur after resolution change.
Fixed issue where commander could get stuck on a ladder.
Fixed typo in hammer fgd file causing Empire wall and barrier issues.

The beta still has some crash related issues that need to be smoothed out, but when it's running, it seems to be solid.
Devs have been able to reproduce most of the reported problems and hopefully will have solutions soon :)

The devs seem very on the ball so a couple of days maximum.

At the very least, if you're concerned, don't let beta bugs stop you from buying it once the Linux version is released :D

Yep, this. I don't tend to buy anything that doesn't have the tux logo on it now. Although I do make exceptions for a good beta. Shame I'm busy tonight and I'll be writing up the Funding Crowd tomorrow (and possibly Friday, since I have a busy weekend coming up), so I'll wait for the full release on this one! Looks great though.

NS2 apparently runs a lot better these days. I haven't had time to try it personally within the last month or so, though :(
