Original Wasteland Survival RPG Hits Steam For Linux

By -
For the first time in over 20 years, we are heralding the return of a much loved piece of gaming history with the classic RPG, Wasteland! (Steam Link) Mutants. Again. Even more than there were last time: they seem to materialize out of the very grains of the radioactive desert sand. Venomous yellow eyes.

It doesn't have a Linux icon yet as the developers are considering it an early test of it on Linux. Be warned it doesn't work right just yet as it doesn't download all the needed files but they are working on it right now:
QuoteWe're rolling out Linux for testing, but it's not "officially supported" yet. Will look into why it won't even download, Steam may be missing a required file of ours. Once we've had some more testing (externals included) we'll put it up as supported.

They haven't worked out a DRM free purchase option for Linux users yet either so it's Steam only for Linux for now.

It looks a little too retro for my tastes, personally I am very much looking forward to Wasteland 2.

Will you be getting Wasteland 1? Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.
