Recently, some talk summaries were added to the Steam Dev Days website, giving a look at the sort of content that will be given across the two day conference.
Whilst it's likely that most talks will have overarching tones influenced by Valve's decisions to support Linux and launch their upcoming Steam Machines with SteamOS, there two talks in particular which focus on developing for Linux.
Getting Started with Linux Game Development, which will be given by veteran porter Ryan "icculus" Gordon aims to be an introduction for Windows based developers who are interested in supporting Linux, covering tools, basic workflows and common problems. We can guess that it will probably contain parts of last year's Open Source Tools for Game Development, and cover learning from the past 12 months of Steam on Linux.
Valve developer Bruce Dawson will be delivering a talk titled Getting Started Debugging on Linux, taking a look at the platform specific challenges for developers who are new to supporting Linux. The talk will focus on Valve's learning experiences and commonly needed tools. It's possible that we may hear more of the Linux debugging tools that Valve have been co-developing as well as the work they've been doing with LLVM on LLDB.
In addition there will be a slew hardware related talks including VR talks from Michael Abrash and Joe Ludwig of Valve as well as Palmer Luckey of Oculus VR. Steam Machine and Steam Controller talks from Greg Coomer and Anna Sweet, and Eric Hope and John McCaskey respectively are also likely to be topics of interest to Linux users.
That's not to say that the other content won't be exciting. Check out the full list and tell us what you think!

Somewhat relatedly, although not gaming-focused, there's also the 30C3 taking place in Hamburg, Germany from December 27th to 30th, 2013.
Talk schedules aren't posted yet, but it's the big annual hacker / FLOSS / security conference in Germany.
