You know what happens in science fiction movies and books where people try to colonize distant unknown planets? Something obviously goes horribly wrong and the colonists are left to wait for rescue. That's why we are here!

In PixelJunk Shooter from Q-Games and Double Eleven you are sent to a mining colony on Apoxus Prime to rescue the colonists that have gotten themselves in big trouble after encountering enemies and environmental hazards on their search for a great power source they have detected within the planet. You must guide your ship through the twisting caverns and rescue as many colonists as possible, while staying alive of course.

The best thing about this game so far are the excellent liquid physics and the small puzzles related to them. Also, don't let the name fool you. Even though it has "pixel" in its name, it's not one of those neo-retro 8-bit style games that we've had an abundance of during the past year.

Sorry that this episode is a little late. It was supposed to be up last week, but laziness and birthdays got the better of me. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Very nice and addictive action/puzzle game. Don't worry if you didn't like PixelJunk Monsters at all (I didn't). This one is really good.

This looks pretty good, think I'll move it up my list. Cheers Samsai.

This does look pretty good.  I may buy this after I get through a couple of games in my queue.
