What're people's experiences with Gemini Rue so far?

It is good to see a bundle that doesn't require Steam.

I haven't played the release version yet, but I got it during the beta and really enjoyed the plot. Any bundle with Gemini Rue is a great bundle.

It's one of my favourite games :D

It's still got some audio issues by the looks of things, but I hear those are being worked on and there should be a new build (and a Steam build for anybody waiting for those) soon.

I watched the trailer for GR and it looked pretty cool, tempted to buy it but no money until Friday hmmm...

I got Gemini Rue during last year's Steam Holiday Sale. Haven't touched it yet because it wasn't available under Linux. Looks like this will finally change soon.

Hero Academy crashes upon start-up on my OpenSuse 13.1 with this log: http://pastebin.com/0cLrNHJ3

I couldn't find any official bugtracker where to report this.

- Gemini Rue is the only one that’s half fun. It runs but really needs a windowed mode and alt-tab support… (Especially with compton as a compositor I’m getting a partially transparent game window in fullscreen, so it doesn’t look that good…) Still I played it for 5 minutes and it seemed ok.

I'm hopeful that things in the build will be improved, but in the meantime, you can edit a config file to provide windowed mode (windowed by default was something I lobbied for during the beta).

Open up ~/GeminiRue/acsetup.cfg and set windowed to 1

windowed=1

I also like upping the graphics scaling:

gfxfilter=StdScale3

Thanks! The config file was located in the game directory for me

Ah, yes. ~/GeminiRue is the default install path rather than a configuration path - I should have mentioned that.

I can see why a lot of Windows devs feel more comfortable with an installer. It's a more familiar form of distribution and gives the impression that users can't mess up the install process.

Gemini Rue is now showing up under Linux Steam.
