Journey of a Roach Coming To Linux & Needs Testers

By -
The developers of Journey of a Roach are looking to port their game to Linux and are looking for a group of Linux gamers to help them test it.

About
Nuclear war, post apocalypse, barren and lifeless wastelands. Lifeless? Not so much! Mutated insects have made their home in a bomb shelter and they're set on exploring the world. Let this point&click adventure welcome you to a hilariously bizarre end time world and join the roaches Jim and Bud on their journey to the surface.

Features
  • Point&click Adventure in a unique environment
  • Crawl along walls and ceilings, exploring secret underground
  • Innovative controls create dynamic game mechanics
  • Atmospheric 3D comic style world
  • Two charming, memorable protagonists with humorous, nonverbal means of communication

Speaking on their Steam forum they said this:
QuoteHey everyone!

We got a lot of feedback from players that would like to be able to play Journey of a Roach on Linux.

We really want to do a Linux version of Journey of a Roach. The problem is, that we don't have a lot of experience with Linux development and we don't have an awesome lot of test-systems. (Actually there is just one.. And that's on a crappy old, half-dead notebook)

Therefore we will need help to test and give feedback while we are developing the new version, so we can be sure to get it running without bugs on as many systems as possible. We would like to tackle this project together with you.

If you are interested in helping, please send an email to 'testing at koboldgames.ch' with the subject 'Linux'. Send us your steam name, Linux distribution and system configuration.

If we get enough feedback and are confident to be able to build and test a Linux version with you guys, we will develop an initial deportation and grant access to selected testers as soon as it is available on steam.

Best regards,

This game sounds too funny to miss, I have sent my request to them to help test so hopefully I will be able to give my impressions of it in the future too.

Stealth tag? Shouldn't it be Steam?

I don't know if they need more testers still, but I applied. I think it looks kinda cool.
