Quoting: Quote from stanNot excited at all because Penumbra Overture is unplayable due to poor mouse handling (I have to set the acceleration option to the max and then the pointer moves way too fast in the menu (and faster horizontaly than verticaly), but ingame rotations are still too slow). Also the graphics are completely bugged on my Core i3 Intel HD Graphics, and there is no alt-tab.I've played some Amnesia on my Intel HD Graphics 3000 laptop and it ran perfectly with a decent framerate. I haven't played any Penumbra games on the laptop, but on my main rig Black Plague runs without hitches.
I also got Amnesia and don’t remember what the problems were, but I couldn’t play it either. (Looks like I deleted the files for this one.)
Maybe if they used SDL2 this time it will be playable… I’m definitely not buying it without trying a demo first!

The only issue I had with Amnesia was caused by KDE. If I didn't turn desktop effects off I could rotate no more than 90 degrees left for some reason. So until I figured out the issue I was pirouetting through the game when need be :P

Some nice new environments I suppose. I like Amnesia and I love the SPC vibe the teaser site had, but the trailers have left me a bit underwhelmed so far.

this is just an environment demo. try checking out the older trailer for a better idea of what to expect from the game.

I only have a first gen Intel HD Graphics so Amnesia is a bit slow (even in 1280×800 with everything set to low), but it’s indeed working (see my edit above!). I should have tried it before posting. (I suppose the game wasn’t working at all when I first got it, and the intel drivers matured since then, because I don’t remember seeing even the beginning of the game.)
It looks like it must be the Intel drivers or some software interfering. Indeed, I think their graphical engine is very good and performs very well compared to many other games I've tried on underpowered hardware. I had a great experience playing Amnesia, not a single flaw in the whole game, everything ran perfect. Using Nvidia drivers and going thru an upgrade from Athlon64 to FX8350.

I like the Doom-like atmosphere, it reminds me of Doom 3 which I enjoyed very much.
