Overgrowth is a third-person 3D action game that allows you to leap and climb through sprawling levels as a ninja rabbit, and engage in intricate and brutal combat with a variety of weapons and enemies. It is still very much in development, so while the mechanics and features are mostly in place, there is no campaign, and players mostly experiment with the easy-to-use modding tools, and fighting in the arena.
It's now in Early Access on Steam and has launched with a discount too so be sure to snap it up quick!

wow, where have you been all this time :D
this is not just a "bunny fighting game", this is the sequel to the legendary "Lugaru" and basically the guys that started the Humble Bundle!
Must have for any linux gamer period. Wolfire is like one of the first indie companies that helped to change the mentality regarding linux gaming. ;)

Yeah Lugaru was awesome. This one looks fabulous, and its built inside it's own game creator toolkit. Or i should say level creator. Anyway, it can get pretty intense when your taking on 4 or 5 bandit rabbits at once. It's a very good game.

if you completed the training / tutorial successfully, practised the jumps / weapons and learned to sneak to your enemies instead of rushing into 3 vs 1 fights, then you would be more than ninja enough ;D
Any skill based game needs practice and creativity. Be it dota, star wars, street fighter, cawwaduddi, etc.
I mean there's so much you can do in this one , even un-arm your enemies and take their weapons and you can leap incredibly high to get away or confuse enemies.
remember to just lower the difficulty and/or change the keyboard layout to your liking, till you learned the moves.
I also wonder how a game like this will be with the steam controller :D

Lugaru was one of my first non id software linux games. I spent days playing that game. Couldnt get past the wolfs too much though. I have been looking forward to this game for years.

With regards to Overgrowth in particular though, I still need to get around to purchasing it and trying it out at some point. Can't really justify spending that much money on a game at this point however, although based on the amount of work put in I doubt that it is overpriced.
