Described as an addictive hybrid of Super Metroid and Terraria, SteamWorld Dig is a platform mining adventure. Take the role of Rusty, a lone mining steambot, as he arrives at an old mining town in great need. Dig your way through the old earth, gaining riches while uncovering the ancient threat that lurks below...

After making a huge impact on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, they decided to bring SteamWorld Dig to PC/Mac/Linux. Introducing HD graphics, achievements and more, the game has been optimized for Steam!

Key Features
  • A rich world of steam-driven robots, inspired by Steampunk and Western themes.
  • Explore an underground world full of secrets, treasure and terrors.
  • Uncover the remnants of human civilization, a degenerate race of dynamite-wielding troglodytes.
  • Randomized worlds with emergent gameplay.

But only on Steam? Why?

That's where the money is? Seems odd to ignore the likes of the Humble Store though.

_Linux_ money is not on Steam yet. Making your HS nod an even better point since this is an established source of funds from Linux users. Linux users have supplied over %25 of the income of some of the bundles. Applying HB variables to Steam's Linux users (%1 of all Steam users) Valve would expects, at best, to have %95 of a individual game's income to come from non-Linux users. And the Linux funds will be even less than these best-case-statistics would suggest when one considers a bundle of _multiple_ games generated these stats (chances are each user would be unlikely to buy _every_ game in a bundle if they were only offered separately).

Comparing percentages is pointless since you don't have the number of users they are attached to... Steam has a huge number of users and it's actually a miracle that linux users managed to put a 1% dent in it. For all we know that tiny fraction could be significantly larger than anything Humble Store can offer. Considering the store is a recent addition and doesn't get nearly as much coverage as the bundles, it's easy to say that the exposure Steam provides for new releases is much greater and would lead to more sales.

This looks fun, but if it isn't available in a non-drm form, I'll have to pass as well.  Software like Steam is one of the reasons I left the Windows platform years ago for Linux.

Valve posted a short time ago that they have above 65 Million Users. So you have at least a minimum of 650.000 Linux Users using Steam. Which is IMHO a nice number already.

And here you have the numbers for the Humble Bundles:

Save your money! From what I have read about this game. It's about 3 hours playtime and "only" one boss fight. Great!
