From the creators of Monster RPG 2 comes Crystal Picnic a fun a bright looking old school RPG with some interesting elements to it.
Nooskewl have released a new trailer making it looks quite polished already:
I love that the adventure part is top-down walking around and the combat turns into a side-scroller that's quite unique, can't think of a game that does that.
You can grab a copy of the alpha when you buy it here for $9.99CAD (~$9.33 USD, ~£5.68).
What do you think ladies and gents?

I rather enjoyed Monster Hunter 2. For those that haven't played it before, it's a fairly decent, if simplistic, traditional JRPG, something pretty uncommon for Linux. I bought it for something like $5 a while back and certainly got my money's worth. Worth checking out, if you have the time. :-)
Haven't heard of Crystal Picnic yet, but I like the developer, so I'll give this a try, too. I'm not a fan of buying games in advance, though, so I'll wait until it's further along in development.
