A new official beta has landed for AMD graphics users that adds official support for SteamOS and fixes a few of issues.

It's good to see them add official support for it, judging from what people say their official drivers still need a lot of work though, especially that Steam overlay issue I can imagine that being frustrating.

Sorry for stupid question, but why stable driver is 13.12 and beta 13.11?

Seems they forgot their own naming system.

Some companies have strange naming/numbering systems :)
In this case I would guess that 13.11 is for development/testing of future changes for 13.12. Which would also explain that 13.11 Beta V9.95 has a newer release date then 13.12.
But well I never understood AMD :D

I heard from one of the 'engineers' that the 13.12 is actually just a more stable 13.11 and so the 13.11 V9.95 is actually newer than the stable one. But i think it wasn't enough of a change to make it a 14.1 just yet.

Why not just make it chronological ? There is no excuse for doing that :/

i guess the 13.11 betas are based on 2013 november branch..
the 2013 december driver is marked as stable but the dev branch is still using november..
so once its stable they will push it to 2014 and january or february..making it 14.1 or 14.2
i think thats the logic?
now how logical are the nvidia numbers? those seem tottaly random.
