Planetary Annihilation the massive scale RTS has received its first patch for 2014 and it includes some pretty sweeping changes!

I played a game of this online recently in a 1on1 match and wow it has come a long way. I am still happy to say it's the single best RTS game out for Linux.

Highlights
  • Teleporters are in game now! Teleport units between two of them.
  • Major Balance Changes.
  • New Units, not final artwork.
  • Area Patrol, extremely useful!
  • Lava planets look better and work went into all other biomes too.
  • AI continues to get more and more evil.
  • Orbital Fabber now in-game, required to build certain orbital units now.
  • Localization work started.
  • Pathfinding fixes.
  • Lots of other general fixes.
