This will excite any developer and gamer who actually has their hands on some VR kit, Valve has updated the Steamworks API to officially include their VR API.
I do wonder exactly how many games will be adding VR into them, I imagine when VR really hits it big in the next few years that a lot of older games will get updates to include VR.
What do you guys personally think to VR, do you like me think it will be like 3D and be a small fad or do you think it will take the PC world by storm?
For me it really depends on the price of the VR kit and how comfortable it is to wear, you do afterall have to wear some kind of kit of your eyes for the entire duration of the game you are playing.
The development kit for the Oculus Rift alone is $300 which is a lot of smackers for something that hasn't quite hit it yet, I imagine it would be lower when the consumer version comes out though. What would you consider a fair price point?

i personally think that VR might be a thing in about few years maybe...
current Occulus Rift VR doesnt seem to have the needed accuracy and quality, but its a good start.
if there will be competition and demand for those devices, prices will go down as well.
it might be just another hype for short period of time though.. just like 3D was/is ..

Anybody who have tried vr out knows that is going to take the market like an storm. I personally think 300 euros is quite cheap for such an experience
Also, I dont think we will playing the same games using vr... so porting old/current games makes little sense (at least until it get better integration). It makes no sense to play super mario bros or tf2 using vr yet...
On the other hand, narrative/experiences/"movie" games are going to hit like an storm (maybe you want to call them "playful interactive experiences" instead of games). I just call them games because is going to take the same target market at first, share profits with the same target at first and are going to be made by the same companies at first.
I cant say anything but... future is now
