To The Moon 2D RPG Soon To Drop On Linux

By -

A cute 2D RPG on Steam called To The Moon is heading to Linux, the game has been highly rated and looks fantastic! The developers did confirm it will come to Linux in an interview with Polygon, so this isn't a rumour this is a soon-to-land RPG. About 11 hours ago it added Linux info to the Steam Database, so it could drop very soon.

About

Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts have peculiar jobs: They give people another chance to live, all the way from the very beginning... but only in their patients' heads.

Due to the severity of the operation, the new life becomes the last thing the patients remember before drawing their last breath. Thus, the operation is only done to people on their deathbeds, to fulfill what they wish they had done with their lives, but didn’t.

This particular story follows their attempt to fulfill the dream of an elderly man, Johnny. With each step back in time, a new fragment of Johnny's past is revealed. As the two doctors piece together the puzzled events that spanned a life time, they seek to find out just why the frail old man chose his dying wish to be what it is.

And Johnny's last wish is, of course... to go to the moon.

The music in this is just fantastic and fits the game so well after watching the trailer it's no wonder people praised it so much. Looks like it could be quite a sad and interesting story to be part of too.

Looks like it has won a few awards, not surprising!

Indie games constantly surprise me and this is no different in how wonderful it looks, this will be a must-buy for me, how about you?

Wouldn't call this an RPG. It's more like an adventure game than anything else.

Played it a while back under wine but a native port is really great news now there is a sequel coming. Kan Gao is a awesome guy and one of the best story writers I think gaming has ever had.

I know that, and it is really sad.

Yes, I heard that developers can send you their game if you write them.
I will buy new bundle, definitely! It is really great.
