Wings of Saint Nazaire is a retro space combat sim in the vein of Wing Commander™ and X-Wing™ and it's already fantastic with crisp music and beautiful visuals.

I did a video for you some time ago now, but for those that missed it check-out my game-play of it here:

Update 2014-01-12:
- fixed a bug where enemies would not shoot at you more than once

Update 2014-01-10:
- fixed the flickering launch tube issue
- improved explosion fx

I can't wait to see them make a full game of this, while I found Strike Suit Zero to be great nothing has touched Freespace/Freespace 2 in the flight sim combat for me, so I have high hopes for this one. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Really looking forward to this game, the only downside is that the 2.5D style will probably exclude it from the Oculus Rift supported games.

Another really cool looking upcoming space game is this: http://enemystarfighter.com/game/

And Void Destroyer looks cool too as an RTS hybrid (although that one is windows only so far, even though it uses OGRE3D etc.).

Looks good, strange graphics, and my controller keeps rotating for some reason :S

Good music also
