Arena of Heroes is a game I just discovered that is actually quite decent for a free to play game. With decent graphics and interesting game-play.
It's built in Unity so it works on a lot of different platforms, it worked out of the box for me on Manjaro. It was as simple as downloading the Linux zipped up file, extracting it and running it. You will need to register an account to play and from there you will be greeted with a handy tutorial to give you the basics.
Features
- 100% Free to play - Turn-Based tactical combat
- Single-Player and PVP
- Expanding line of Heroes; currently 35 Heroes to choose from!
- Robust community with new content daily
- Realtime, Asynch, and A.I. game modes
- Global and Division Leaderboards with monthly prizes
It is a MOBA like Dota2, but it plays out quite differently due to being turn-based and the different graphical style is nice too.
Like with Dota2 you can choose to pay for things, but you don't need to spend a penny to enjoy it, so it looks like these guys have hit the right balance for free to play much like Valve have.
They are also looking to get onto Steam, so give them a vote if you like the look of it.

There are more, but this is a pretty good idea of what is available. Hopefully soon we will be getting more. I personally would love to see Firefall on Linux.

there's a bigger number now.
MMO could mean anything that has dedicated multiplayer or that has not much of an offline mode.

Ah, this is on Linux now? I asked them about a Linux version months~ ago and I think they said they would if they updated the version of Unity it runs on. I think. Guess I'll get to give it a try. I wonder if this means it's on Android now too. *checks*
