As if we didn't know this would come, Humble Indie Bundle 11 has now added three more excellent indie games to keep you busy!
New Additions
FEZ

Starseed Pilgrim

Beat Buddy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DncYk8zIh8g
Not a bad bunch of additions, all excellent games. That now makes Humble Indie Bundle 11 have a whopping 9 games, wow!
What do you think to this bundle guys? I think it's easily one of the best, although I seem to say that for each of them, they just get better.
The bundle is closing in on $2 Million USD, with Linux leading the pack for highest average as usual, good work!
Although we are still missing one game, hopefully that won't take too long.

It's cool that they put fez in there! This is quite the bundle. I already have it, though. Oh well! I was hoping they'd bring back Dustforce or something. We still don't have that officially on Steam, despite it being in an older bundle. :( You guys should get in touch with the devs about that one. Or an article all about games with linux versions only available in bundles...? Glad Trine 1 will be on Steam officially soon.

starseed pilgrim is on air :(
meeh....
I started paying average linux all to charity on day one, and after all games have been released and tested i pay 25$ shared among those games that really deserved... its not fair to give the same amount to giana sisters (0$ this time) than to the swapper...

Dustforce is available on Desura and in the Humble Store.
Do we really have to have everything on Steam?
My priority is still DRM-Free. Steam is nice to have.

No Beatbuddy soundtrack. :-( Which is weird, because there is OST included for all of the other games.

Yes we should, some of us only like to use steam. While I like having DRM free for backup purposes, I pretty much only use steam to play games. I prefer steam to manage my games.... Same here, I used to play DRM-free version of the bundle games before I discovered steam (and it was only because DN3D was only redeemable there). Now I pretty much only use steam and don't really play games that are not there (with a notable exception of Rocks'n'Diamonds ;-). Desura isn't that bad either, save for constant hangups and lack of achievements or cloud save.

The detailed split was a great addition to the HIB, now we can deliver justice among developers!
I am not giving any money to Giana Sisters or Starseed Pilgrim (thank you for the air warning), this means more money for... Humble Hearts and Microsoft Studios... what?

Wasn't it there from the start? I'd say so.
Although the average paid for GNU/Linux is the highest we're the last in the totals. That means we're far behind in number of purchases.

I was waiting to see what the extra games drop would be, and although I've already played Fez on the XBox, it'll be cool to have it DRM-free (it is DRM-free, right?). I'm in! :D
As far as Steam vs. DRM-free goes, I've actually gone in the opposite direction. The first Humble Bundle I bought, I only used the Steam keys, but more recently I've moved to just grabbing the tarballs. Don't really know why. I don't keep Steam running in the background, so I suppose they start a bit more quickly when they don't have to log in to my account, but I'm not sure that's why I did it.

i know we are far behind in number of purchases but i still think higher average from linux users still really helps the community and sends a good message to indie developers. indie developers know that linux community is able to pay more and are generally more innovative and technical. i think linux users pay more because humblebundle encourages all three platforms for release (or at least wine support) which helps in the long term. so if a developer only wants huge sales and is not interested in dealing with cross platform issues then i think that is a good filter for avoiding the lower quality games. i know linux will probably not have more games than the other platforms in the future but i think linux will have the highest percentage or quality games.
