Minecraft 1.7.5 Released With Minor Changes

By -
Mojang has pushed out Minecraft 1.7.5 with really minor changes, nothing exciting at all, as usual.

I feel like Minecraft is being let down by the developers for not adding enough to keep people interested. I've certainly seen interest in it drop off across the web. Not only that, but they still haven't added in a mod API which still forces people to use the moddable bukkit server for anything interesting.

You would think with all the money Mojang have that they would hire a few more people to work on it.

1.7.5 Changes
Minecraft Realms adds mini game support (as described in this YouTube clip)
Several server-side performance improvements and bug fixes
Preparations to bring Minecraft Realms to more countries!
Minecraft Realms will open to all Nordic countries (Norway, Finland, Iceland and Denmark) starting some time next week.

About Minecraft
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=MmB9b5njVbA
Minecraft is a game about breaking and placing blocks. At first, people built structures to protect against nocturnal monsters, but as the game grew players worked together to create wonderful, imaginative things.

It can also be about adventuring with friends or watching the sun rise over a blocky ocean. It’s pretty. Brave players battle terrible things in The Nether, which is more scary than pretty. You can also visit a land of mushrooms if it sounds more like your cup of tea. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Yep, nothing to see here. And every time they put a release out that doesn't include a Mod API, you're left waiting for Bukkit to catch up.

I mean, I run 5 little worlds for my son to play on - every release of Bukkit from Alpha, to Beta, to Stable, often a version behind Mojang's official is a pain.

A lot of the popular mods haven't been updated past 1.6.4. At this point, I doubt the API is ever coming out.
